NURSES ROCK:

The BFF NURSES ROCK Run-Walk is our signature fund-raising event. It is held annually on the first Saturday in May, to coincide with National Nurses Day which is celebrated on May 6. It also marks the beginning of National Nurses Week (May 6-12), which ends on May 12 and is the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.

2026 Event Review

The 2026 NURSES ROCK Run-Walk was held on Saturday, May 2 at the Frank G. Bonelli Park in
San Dimas, CA. Over 500 participants joined us for a day of sunshine, camaraderie, and friendly
athletic competition! Of these participants, we were thrilled that 133 of them were nurses and 12
were nursing students! The chart below lists the top award winners:

Our 2025-2026 scholarship recipient, Kaitlan Nguyen, was warmly welcomed by the crowd. Kaitlan
volunteered in our BFF booth and was able to thank people for supporting her and her fellow nursing
students. We look forward to watching her grow throughout her nursing school journey.
