My Name is Sara Puma and I am currently a senior at the Loma Linda University School of Nursing. I am the oldest of four siblings and I have always been the maternal figure for my younger siblings. I chose nursing as my life profession because I am passionate about educating people about health and helping people feel comfortable in the hospital environment.
I truely resonate with the five values of Loma Linda University which are:
Integrity; Compassion; Teamwork; Excellence and Wholeness
I believe that I can use these main tools not only in my professional life, but also in my personal life. I have many future goals, including my primary career goal of becoming the Dean of a nursing program at a University.
I have really appreciated all the support from my family and the Bonnie A.C. Lee Fang Foundation. Their financial contribution to my education has helped me greatly on my road to success. Thank you!
