Jean Phan : Hero Highlights : Bonnie Fang Foundation®

We are happy to share an update about Jean Phan, one of our 2021-2022 scholarship recipients.

Jean graduated in May 2022 from San Diego State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. After passing her license exam, she began working in October 2022 in a medical/surgery/telemetry unit on the night shift. Jean also added some home health work on the side.

For relaxation, Jean enjoys traveling and learning new hobbies. She's visited Japan, Korea, and Vietnam, in addition to several U.S. cities. She enjoys playing pickleball for the exercise and socialization with her friends.

As of January 2026, Jean started a new job at a new hospital in a new unit! She will be working in the ICU, which was her dream unit when she graduated. Congratulations, Jean, we are proud of you and excited for this next step in your career!
