Kaitlan Nguyen is an incoming fourth year student at the University of California, Irvine, 
where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Science with a minor in Medical 
Anthropology. Nursing embodies values that are deeply important to her, including 
compassion, integrity, and advocacy. These values guide her commitment to caring for 
patients with empathy and ensuring that every person feels heard, respected, and 
supported. 



 
While continuing her education, Kaitlan has gained hands-on experience as a Home
Caregiver and as a Research Assistant contributing to perioperative and oncology
research at Rady Children's Health. She is passionate about improving patient care and
helping families navigate the healthcare system. As someone fluent in Spanish and 
Vietnamese, she enjoys helping bridge language barriers and making patients feel more 
comfortable communicating with their care teams. Kaitlan is also deeply committed to 
serving her community. Through her volunteer work with the American Red Cross, she has contributed over 400 hours support blood drives. 
These experiences have strengthened her dedication to community health and compassionate service.
 
After earning her BSN, Kaitlan plans to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Outside of school, she enjoys gardening, cooking, and going to the gym.
